Now, I don’t know about you, but for me, different Seasons remind me of different books of the Bible. There is also certain books I tend to read more or desire to read more during different times of the year. This is because of the contents if the books, the lessons, the time of year in the book, or something along those lines. In my opinion, certain books reflect certain Seasons more than others. I think some should be read by others during different Seasons as well, it is an amazing way to read the Bible. This being said, today I am going to share with you the five books of the Bible to read in the Fall.

The 5 Books of the Bible to Read in the Fall
Before getting into the list I am going to share a few favorite Bible study Time essentials! All of these are Amazon links to cute items and useful items to boost your Study Time!
1.) A Good Bible (Brand, Version, and it’s very cute)
2.) Bible Book Tabs (These make reading the Bible SO MUCH EASIER!)
3.) Highlighters (I like these ones because they aren’t super bright neon colors)
4.) Nice Pens (These are just ones I like, any pen works!)
6.) Sticky Notes (Transparent is nice to put in your Bible to take notes)
NOW LET’s GET INTO THE FIVE BOOKS OF THE BIBLE TO READ IN THE FALL
1. THE BOOK OF RUTH
Ruth is all about provision after emotional, spiritual, physical wasteland. Famine. Provision after famine. Ruth is about work, harvest, and unexpected blessing. I think many of us feel a lot of these emotions and feelings when Fall comes around. This book reminds us of the blessings of God in regular lives and specifically about the ultimate blessing through Ruth’s line to Jesus.
2. THE BOOK OF ECCLESIASTES
Ecclesiastes talks a lot of Seasons metaphorically as well as the true meaning of life. This book is about the spiritual/physicals wrestlings of mankind toward the material world verses God in our lives. It’s about purpose and fulfillment. This year especially, I have heard so many people going through these same wrestlings. Feeling these same ways. It’s not a book to take literally, but to feel deeply and to relate to in the questioning and struggling. It’s a warm reminder that we often think these same thoughts, wrestle with the spiritual and natural, go through these same seasons, and that it’s in the Bible!
3. THE BOOK OF PROVERBS
Talk about godly productivity, work ethic, morals, and wisdom. Fall is such a Season that has arms open and air free for these characteristics in mankind. Work starts, school starts, the harvest comes, the leaves need raked, the kitchen is full of canned goods and fresh fruit in need of a wise woman to preserve, routine appears, Bible studies start, dad’s work routine changes after Summer, and new expenses come up calling for financial wisdom (such as kid’s sports). The book of Proverbs is full of practicals, living all of these things out in a God fearing and honoring way.
4. THE BOOK OF MATTHEW
Matthew can sometimes be overlooked, as do most of the Gospels besides John. John is always the Christian’s go to. But Matthew has so many words that John doesn’t contain. For example Matthew 6 talks about the provisions of God. Matthew’s first chapter shares Jesus’ lineage, it is full of reminders. Good reminders. Reminders we often need this time of year.
5. THE BOOK OF COLOSSIANS
Lastly is a book of the Bible full of reminders for the Christian on how to live the Christian life. It reminds us of the routines we are supposed to create, the moras to live by, the characteristics we ought to have in relation to our families and community, as well as the why behind the way we live (aka the Gospel, Jesus!).
