As an aspiring minimalist there is a million and ten items I get rid or or run away from. But also, on the contrary, there is quite a few items I actually do purchase and recommend purchasing because they enhance that lifestyle. Specifically reusable items. This post will explore five of my all time (extremely aesthetically pleasing, meaning we din’t have to compromise style) favorites.
Five Reusable Items You Need as a Minimalist.
1.) Ziplock Bags
These are super important. Without these I found myself using so many plastic bags and then just throwing them away. over and over again. Ziplock bags are so wasteful. Having reusable ones on hand makes it so much easier to still package foods easy without the guilt of one use plastic bags.
2.) Paper Towels
We get so used to the luxury of one use items. Paper towels would be my guilty pleasure of one use items. But the amount of money and garbage space you save by going reusable in this area is incredible. It also guarantees that you never run out. Living frugal and reusable also guarantees that in hard times you have sustainable items!
Look at how cute these are! For these I am also going to leave a search link because there is SO many options, and they are so cute! Click here.
3.) WOODEN Dish Scrubbers
I know most dish scrubbers are reusable but the difference here is how sustainable and good for the environment the products are. Getting wooden items is so much better than the plastic, spongy products we usually buy. This set below has literally everything you need to ensure coean dishes.
4.) Silicone or Beeswax Wraps
Another replaceable one use item like saran wrap. This one is seriously a must to replace. Coming in silicone, beeswax and cotton. My favorite is beeswax and cotton, over the silicone. I will link to both below.
5.) Dryer Balls
Dryer Sheets are just terrible for the environment and often times they don’t do everything they are supposed to. This is why I switched to dryer balls. You can go with or without scent and they are so much better for the environment.
These are the ones I like but there is so many different colors, types, etc. Here is a general search results are link to pick a favorite!
